Sanni Mukaila Akanni hailed from Ejigbo, Lagos, Nigeria. He acquired both Islamic & Western education and obtained B.A (Hons), M.A and Ph.D in Islamic Studies in the years 2002, 2010 and 2017 respectively. He is a lecturer of Qur'anic and Islamic Theological Studies in the Department of Religions and Peace Studies, Lagos State University, Nigeria.
