Kathleen Drowne is an associate professor of American literature at Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Missouri. She is the author or coauthor of several books, including Spirits of Defiance: National Prohibition and Jazz Age Literature, 1920�1930 and The 1920s: American Popular Culture through History.
