Dr. Siew Chey Ong, born in Malaysia, is a retired surgeon in Singapore. He received his higher education and surgical training in the U.S.A. His long surgical career included a stint of working as a professor and head of surgery of the National University of Singapore. Dr. Ong is author of three other books - China Condensed: 5000 Years of History and Culture and Tales from Old China and Life in Three Countries: In Search of a Home.
