Twin births are a special case, as they are associated with a number of complications. Factors influencing its occurrence are on the increase, including the use of medically assisted reproduction methods. The aim of this study was to determine the frequency of twin births at the Jason SENDWE HGR maternity hospital, to determine the sociodemographic characteristics of parturients, to describe the management of twin births, and to identify the fetal and maternal prognosis of twin births.We conducted a cross-sectional descriptive observational study over the period from January 2011 to December 2020, i.e. 10 years. It consists of 116 deliveries of twins in the maternity ward of HPGR Jason SENDWE during the period from January 1, 2011 to December 31, 2021. Data were encoded and analyzed on Epi info 7.22.6.The frequency of twin births at the HPGR Jason SENDWE maternity hospital is 2.29%. Socio-demographic characteristics of parturients: the mean age of twin deliveries was 32 ± 8.13 years, with 25.86% living in the same household.
