He teams up with his girl friend Jennifer, the daughter of one of the greatest bull riders to ever pull a rope, and the Homer Lee, the obnoxious dog who rides in the back of his pickup truck, weather permitting. They burn up the highways, competing simultaneously in PBR (Professional Bull Riders) and PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) events across the country, living fast, staring danger and death in the face and taunting it on a daily basis. Johnny Rardon, Jennifer's father, is likely the only person with enough influence on Billy Ray to pull in the reins long enough to give pause to caution, but his intense sense of fair play may preclude him from doing so.
