How is God to be worshipped? In our modern context there are so many approaches people take to the worship of God, both corporately as well as individually. The greatest issue the evangelical church faces in our time is not the decline in the morality of our society or even the secularization of our Western context; rather, it is the forsaking of the true worship of God. It is the neglect of living out a cherished doctrine of the reformation ""Sola Scriptura."" God is the object and consumer of worship. Therefore, his word given to us governs us in our worship of him. The people of Israel are told by Moses in Deut 12:32: ""Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it."" The Lord Jesus told the Samaritan women in John 4:24, ""God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."" God spells out with crystal clarity how his redeemed are to worship him. In True Worship we will explore what biblical worship of the triune God is and why it is crucial in our time and for all time.
