Autorenporträt
Julie Watson taught in countries around the world and in UK higher education before retiring to the Isle of Wight in 2016. She has published research in her academic field and has travelled extensively during her career. Soon after coming to live on the island, she took up kayaking, joined the Wight Writers group and started writing up her travel memoirs. Her first book, Travel Mementos, is a collection of personal stories about some of the faraway places she has visited. She is now writing a second book on an entirely different topic. When not writing, she teaches English to refugees, paddles her kayak up and down the creeks of the Western Yar and takes an interest in natural history. When at home, she is at the beck and call of a small feline house guest.
