J Rusty Shaffer is an entrepreneur, CEO and attorney with over thirty years of experience in all aspects of business including international manufacturing in China and other Asian countries. Rusty is the inventor of the Fretlight Guitar which incorporates a lighted learning system into the fretboard of a real guitar. He is the named inventor on eight patents relevant to various facets of the Fretlight technology. Rusty has also played on stage over the years with various music greats, including the Grammy award winning band America. He's also involved with various entrepreneurial organizations in the Reno/Tahoe area and is currently an adjunct professor in the entrepreneurship department at the University of Nevada, Reno.
