This book was written as a Bachelor s Thesis and it is divided into four main chapters: Theoretical part, Practical part, Commentary and Glossary. The Practical part is the translation of a selected text and remaining three parts focus on the theory of translation. The Practical part is translation of an extract from a book "Founding Brothers; The Revolutionary Generation" written by a historian Joseph J. Ellis. The extract is the first part of the second chapter called "The Dinner", the copy of which is added at the end of the Thesis in the appendix. The text deals with political situation of North American states in the 18th century after the American Revolutionary War in regard to particular personalities that played the most important role in this period of American history. Commentary is subdivided into two parts. The first part is macro approach which is concentrated on the analysis of the source text; it comments on the lexical level of the extract, the use of some words and terms and it deals with proper names and archaic expressions. The second part is micro approach which deals with the grammatical level and it compares the differences in the structure of both languages.
