In the early hours of 8th August 1963, one of the most iconic events of the 20th century took place a couple of miles south of Leighton Buzzard, Buckinghamshire, England. The robbery of a mail train that night was destined to forever be shrouded in controversy and for the most part, those involved all paid a heavy price.
