International schools in Thailand have popped up
like mushrooms in the past decade due to the demand
for the English language skills among Thai students
to further their education in both overseas and
local universities.
Being a veteran teacher of Ruamrudee International
School (RIS)and Redeemer International School
Thailand (RIST) , Dr. Somyos Lorwatanapongsa probed
into the roles and responsibilities of well
respected international schools principals in
Bangkok, Thailand for his GRACE model and provided
practical tips for the prospective international
school principals and the Thai counterparts as well
as the international communities.
The four contributing research questions for which
the book attempted to answer were:
1. What are the professional roles and
responsibilities international school principals
have had to learn to carry out?
2. What are the ways their workplace have
helped their professional learning?
3. What are the ways their workplaces have
hindered their professional learning?
4. What are the ways they believe their
workplaces could best support their professional
learning?
