Produktbeschreibung
This book, written by an experienced German police officer and a long-time active martial artist, is structured professionally and purposefully. This is not about individual tonfa tricks, but rather simple solutions to the question: How can critical situations-with the involvement of the Tonfas-be successfully managed? This book is a good tool for those who want to achieve the training goal of effectively preventing attacks against themselves and their colleagues while maintaining legality. The first book of the author, Tonfa for police, security and Bundeswehr dealt with the basic techniques and the laws to be observed in Germany. This book deals with the practical application. The TONFA is not considered in isolation, but is combined with practice-proven martial arts techniques. If you take the book with you for training, you want to be able to immediately recognize how the presented technique sequences are to be executed. That is why all technique combinations have been designedto be overseeable and quickly understandable. The integrated detailed and background knowledge is important and helps to be able to use the Tonfa even more efficiently. These include topic-related research results from conflict research and well-explanatory quotes from international martial arts experts on the subject of dueling. Content: Task-related tonfa handling, keeping people away, arresting and transporting techniques, effective blocks in conjunction with meaningful counterattacks, training tips and suggestions on the subject of a sudden knife attack.
Autorenporträt
My name is Bodo Günther. In 1983, I started working as a police officer in Berlin which is Germany's most dangerous city currently. My first professional years were spent in a large association, which was mainly used for special situations in the West Allied sectors of Berlin. Afterwards, I have been in the regular radio patrol service and in the civil patrol service at times in order to combat crime at a regional police station. Since 2004, I have been a member of a special unit dedicated to fighting offenses related to the driving of motor vehicles. I do the service as a plain-clothes officer mostly. My main area of activity is taking action against drivers who are under the influence of drugs or drunk driving, presenting fake documents, driving stolen cars or vehicles whose technical condition is a danger to others. Another part of my job is to ensure a safe flow of state visits and events of all kinds. My office is responsible for the entire city or even beyond, as it was the case at the 2017 G20 summit in Hamburg. In addition to the experience as a field police officer I am a long-time active martial artist (3rd Dan Ju Jutsu) with competition experience in Kickboxing and Allfights (an open-minded modern realistic competition). In 2009, I was trained as a police training coach. I practice this activity as a concurrent task and teach my colleagues how to handle the Tonfa among other things. I have been a regular speaker at the international federal police seminars of the German Ju-Jutsu Association, which is being organized at a federal police department in northern Germany. I am a Ju Jutsu athlete who always strives to be open to all systems and has instructions in the systems: Shotokan Karate, Pencak Silat, Kickboxing, ATK (a melee system without rules), Thai boxing (including training at the Sitpholek Boxing Center in Thailand, Pattaya) and seminars with the national coach, Ajarn Ralf Kussler), WingTsun: Two-day seminar with Prof. Dr. med. Sc. Keith R. Kernspecht and most recently special workshops for police officers with the international MMA professional and former federal police officer "Sergeant" Nick HEIN.
