Pearl Cooper White, a native of Mobile, Alabama, resides in Shreveport, Louisiana. A Southern University graduate, she is a retired Secondary Counselor, a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), adjunct professor of Psychology at LSU, and a life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha. Her local church ministry includes Sanctuary Prayer Leader, the Marriage Ministry Coordinator and the Allendale District Missionary. Opportunities for mission work has taken her to Africa (Malawi; Nairobi, Kenya) and to Haitian area townships. For eighteen years she was the Department of Women's Jurisdictional Secretary and served in the National Department of Women as the Aspiring Missionary's instructor. Missionary White is married to the former principal, Lt. Colonel (Ret) Walter N. White. They have three children: Mrs. Tania White Jackson, MD and husband Gary (Frisco, TX); Ms. Kristi C. White (Atlanta, GA); and Elder Walter White, Jr. and wife Shronda (Wiley, TX). They are blessed with six grandchildren.
