Robert J. Littman, Ph.D. (1970) in Classical Philology, Columbia University, is Professor of Classics, University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has published extensively in Greek history and literature, and biblical studies, including The Greek Experiment (Thames and Hudson 1974).
