Heikki Huotari is a retired professor of mathematics based in San Rafael, California. In a past century Heikki Huotari attended a one-room school and spent summers on a forest-fire lookout tower. He's a retired math professor and has won three poetry chapbook prizes. This is his fourth collection, the winning choice for the first book published by Star 82 Press, an offshoot of the art and literary magazine, Star 82 Review. www.star82review.com
