God is still quite alive and active in our lives today. And he will share with those who seek him for God wants his children to know him intimately. As you read the thoughts found in this book, you will see that you are surrounded with Gods love as you live your day-to-day life. While some of the articles are funny, others are a bit more challenging. But all are meant to be thought-provoking. And all are meant to lead you back to God, back to Jesus, and back to the things of God.

Autorenporträt
Dottie Burdette was introduced to creative writing in high school. And she has been writing ever since. While working as a secretary for her church, she would use her writings as fillers in the weekly bulletin. The thought of publishing her writings never occurred to her. That is, until her Senior Pastor, a true man of God who has been a Pastor for close to 30 years, suggested it. As have many others since that time. Being Florida bred, Dottie grew up around horses, cattle and cowboys. (Yes Florida has cowboys.) As a child her playground was the back of her horse. Playing Cowboys and Indians took on new meaning. While riding in rodeos, horse shows, parades and trail rides are a given, Dottie has also ridden her horse to friends houses, the local 7-11, drive through windows of fast food places and even to yard sales. (An FYI for those who shop yard sales from horseback......take a pack horse!) She now lives on the west coast of Florida with her husband Will, her dogs, her cats; and Molly her horse. While enduring a life changing accident which ended her life as a rider, Dottie found that her strength and confidence does not come from things of this world....but from the things of God. Enduring months in a wheelchair, multiple surgeries, skin graphs, doctor visits, physical therapy she found herself isolated and alone..... so she thought. God was there during this time teaching her, comforting her and walking her through each step. The "year of the leg" was not only a time of great pain but also a time of great spiritual growth. It was a time when Dottie found a love for God that burns in her heart and her soul even today. A burning love of which she wishes all could have. A love she wishes all could experience. So, following the encouragement of others who have read her writings...she is now doing what she believes God has asked her to do. To share what He given her.
