Roy Rowan was a journalist for Time, Life and Fortune for thirty-five years. He is the author of seven books, including the critically acclaimed Chasing the Dragon: A Veteran Journalist's Firsthand Account of the 1946-1949 Chinese Revolution and First Dogs: American Presidents and Their Best Friends, which was made into a documentary that aired on the Discovery Channel. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
