Muriel Mirak-Weissbach is an Armenian-American journalist living in Germany. She has published hundreds of articles on economic, political and cultural developments in the Arab and Islamic world. Her latest book, Madmen at the Helm: Pathology and Politics in the Arab Spring, was released by Ithaca Press in July 2012.
