She was born Charletta Raye Miller in a small oil drilling community in southern Illinois. At the age of five she was moved to central Illinois without the presence of her living mother. She became a member of a large affluent family, but despite the many comforts of their home she longed for unity with her mother. Through her grief that seemingly no one understood, Charletta developed a survival technique of validating her feelings privately by hand writing them out on paper. Her story is one of courage, strength, heartbreak and constitution. Charletta is now a cancer survivor, and has returned to her passion to write once more. She currently resides in Fort Myers, Florida with her husband and daughter. An autobiographical recall of a small child coping with feelings of abandonment despite the well meaning foster care that she is provided. She grows into a troubled teenager with tendencies to eroticize her childish feelings, and eventually acts on those feelings that lead to excessive sexual promiscuity. She grows to adulthood and later commits personality suicide as a result of self loathing, low self esteem and the dyer need to be all that she perceives her self image should be, or what she perceives others require of her. She grows to be out of touch with her real self and then suddenly something happens and her true self comes crashing through. She becomes consumed with anxiety because the person that she was born to be is not the image that she has created. After coming to some understanding of what torments her and motivates her self destruction, she finds her inner strengths only to face the ultimate challenge and heartache when her own children are abducted. A story of deception, lies, theft, emotional, psychological and physical abuses, compounded by her struggles with her own sexuality and inner self, her strengths prevail and her story evolves into one of triumph.
