Bordered by the Tittabawassee River, this logging and farming community flourished with the influx of immigrants from Bavaria, England, Canada, and Prussia during the mid-1800s. Even though the township has seen much growth and prosperity since the 1960s, several farms raised over a century ago are still owned by the same families today.
