David Michael Hall was born in 1948 in Farnham, Surrey, England. One of five children, he grew up in a small village outside Farnham. He has always been interested in writing. He takes his credit from his mother Olive who used to write poems and recite audio stories. David is married with five children and lives with his second wife Melanie and two of his children. Over the years David has written short stories, newspaper articles, and treatments. He enjoys writing and would love to see his work recognised. Thomas and the Magic Marble is his first big project and with the collaboration of Mary Humphrey, the Illustrator, decided to self-publish. On his retirement, he proposes to take up writing full time and write a Thomas sequel.
