During the entire official "Cold War" (1945-1991), the subject of this book went into decline. It became an archetype, a museum piece. From 1974, the year I published the first edition of "Elements of Political Science" and on, I felt like preaching in the desert. De Maistre, de Bonald, Edmund Burke and even "my" Lusitanian Integralists rose from the ashes. Here, then, is a contribution to that resurrection.
