The monograph is devoted to the investigation of lateral outflow of liquid from the channel in the presence of formation of a stagnant and vortex zone. The problems are solved by analytical methods of jet theory in order to determine the basic hydrodynamic parameters. In particular, one of the non-cavitation models of Helmholtz was studied where the formed free jet in the branching zone extends to the end of the lateral channel.
