The study of biocompatible thin film has been one of the unifying themes in thedevelopment of microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) and Instrumentation in current times. In the present study, some theoretical and experimental aspects of nichrome thin film for its biomedical applications have been investigated. The book presents two studies. The first study describes the occurrence of buckling on nichrome thin film and its control by making non-planar topology over an elastomeric substrate. The second objective explores the possible use of nichrome thin film in a microfluidic device used for cell separation.
