The economic viability of a country depends on the complexity of a whole set of factors. Transportation is one of the determining factors of a country's economic development. It is difficult to determine precisely the impact of transport on developed and emerging economies, no matter how strong is the academic or business factor which deals with this topic. Is it the transportation that determines the level of economic activity of a country, or the level of economic development determines the need for transport and infrastructure, is one of the key questions addressed in the works listed in this monograph. This book has systematically presented the applied qualitative and quantitative relationship between transport and economy, including segments of the dynamic developments related to transport and its contribution to the economies of different countries. In each part of the book's 5 sections, immersing results, conclusions and recommendations are presented. All findings are synchronized by incorporating the metrics of economic growth and development of a various countries by analysing contribution of transport in a distinct methodology.
