It is an arduous work to provide a historical look at orchestras, since musical organisms such as these have a great capacity for mutation and numerous particularities that make them absolutely unique, making it impossible for a story to be written strictly through another, so these particularities do not let the memory of its protagonist fall into a common place.Based on a brief historical overview, possible through bibliographical research, review of concert programs, open and structured interviews with conductors, former conductors, members and former members, we emphasize the importance of the same, aiming to tell the story of the Symphony Orchestra of Theatro da Paz that in 2016 completed 20 years of uninterrupted activity, looking towards the past, accompanying a present that every day is transformed and established, but also, glimpsing a bright future that already shows itself real.
