He is author of Ulysses in Black: Ralph Ellison, Classicism, and African American Literature (The University of Wisconsin Press, 2006), Aristotle and Black Drama: A Theater of Civil Disobedience (Baylor University Press, 2013), and coauthor of The Oxford Handbook of Greek Drama in the Americas.
