The purpose of this research was to learn about the work of the Social Workers of the Court of Justice of the Federal District and Territories - TJDFT in the resocialization of former convicts in the Psychosocial Unit of the Court for Enforcement of Sentences in Open Regime Vepera. The goal was to identify the challenges of professional practice through effective actions, resocialization through public policies, proposals for intervention in the institutional space and thus present the participation of the State in front of this public that needs this support to return to their social life, post-prison. The responses of the professional interventions brought a clarification of what the public faces on the expressions of the social issue when leaving the prison system, and at the same time, the interventional work enables the resocialization in the lives of egresses giving the opportunity to a life with the right to social justice.
