Dr. Juan Carlos Nava schloss sein Studium an der Universität von Zulia (LUZ) als Landwirtschaftsingenieur ab. Später erwarb er einen Master-Abschluss in Agrosystems Management, ein Diplom in Design und Evaluation von Forschungsprojekten, ein Diplom in Didaktik für die Hochschulbildung und einen Doktortitel in Sozialwissenschaften.
