Gary Crew has written many award-winning books for children including First Light which won the Australian Children's Picture Book of the Year Award. He lives in Queensland. Steven Woolman's big-screen style landscapes and eerie black surrounds, reminiscent of a darkened movie theater, set the scene for The Watertower, his ninth published book.
