The author holds a Bachelor of Science, B.Sc.Ed.(Chemistry) degree from the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. She also got a Master's and Doctorate degrees in Sociology of Education, from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. She is a Professor of Sociology of Education and a Lecturer at Niger Delta University, Nigeria.
