Margery Williams Bianco (1881-1944) was born in London, and for much of her life she alternated living in England and in America. She raised two children with her husband, Francesco Bianco. Although today she is best known for The Velveteen Rabbit or How Toys Become Real, she was an accomplished author with more than two dozen books to her name.
