Ryan Morgan Miller's writing is skilled, irreverent, and hilariously absurd. Five out of five stars." -Sasha Lauren, author of The Paris Predicament Private detective Tracer Spence is being stalked by the song "You're So Vain," hearing it every day for a year. When he's hired by a man with the same problem, Spence realizes that his case is connected to another that he's working on-that of a kidnapped sister. In the process of solving both mysteries, Spence uncovers violent henchmen, a Mick Jagger doppelganger, and man-eating shadow creatures. But even Spence's clients are hiding secrets. Secrets that will throw the private eye into a conspiracy of a mysterious organization hell-bent on keeping the origin of Carly Simon's song unknown. But these threats are only amplified by another: the fact that Tracer Spence is the worst private detective out there.
Autorenporträt
Ryan Morgan Miller is a podcaster, writer, and author of the new novel, The Vain Curse-a book that will almost certainly not be up for any awards, prizes, or nominations of any kind. He has no qualifications for writing a comedy book about hardboiled detectives, except for the ability to ply himself with an inordinate amount of scotch. Miller is also the host of The Russell Hustle podcast, the Earth's most exhaustive Kurt Russell fancast. Otherwise, he can be found in the vulgar cesspool known as New Jersey with his wife Meg, his son Wyatt, and his best friend Tiberius.
