This book deals with the ways of using Information and Communication technologies in English language teaching to young learners at the primary level of Basic education, in particular the use of computers and the interactive whiteboard. The position of Information and Communication technologies in English language teaching in the Czech educational system is also displayed in this book for readers to compare it with the situation from their own country. The aim of this work is to suggest various possibilities of using these devices and to help teachers to find an inspiration and materials for their work. The book focus on the benefits of these technologies in educational process and it outlines the possible dangers of using technology. Teachers' standpoint to using the interactive whiteboard are displayed with the presentation of author's own experience with the creation of materials for the interactive whiteboard, its use in her own teaching and suggestions of other utilisation in teaching.

PETRA ANDRLOVÁ is a teacher at The Zlín Elementary School with Extended Language Teaching, 4338 Kvítková Street, Czech Republic. She earned her masters degree at the Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic with the degree of Master in Teaching at primary schools and teaching English at primary schools.
