The stories laid out in this book are meant to inspire. To see that someone else has gone through life's challenges and survived is sometimes just the right medicine that we need. Learning to cope through the challenges of feeling unwanted in childhood and feelings of rejection throughout adulthood can feel impossible to cope with. But I conquered them both and want to share with you just how I did it through the pages of The Unwanted Penny. Maybe you have gone through challenges or know someone who has. If this book is not for you, then gift it to the one that needs it.

Autorenporträt
I grew up in a rural area of Shreveport Louisiana. It was a very modest lifestyle of which taught me the importance of taking care of the things that you have. I have a strong appreciation for shelter, clean clothes and good shoes.Special time spent with my grandparents drinking coffee with our pound cake showed me the true essence of living. Although they are not here to share it with me, I still love coffee and pound cake. It gives me a warm feeling of home.Being raised as the only child in the home by my grandparents gave me lots of time for myself. I started writing early beginning with composing my own speeches for Easter and other church related functions. This was suggested by my godmother who just so happened to found out that I had the ability to write my own material. I am thankful that she pushed me in that area of my life. Each time something big happened in my life I would write about it in poetry form. As I filled the pages of my many journals with everything from happiness to pain, it was now that I realized the time is right to tell a piece of my story. I decided to share some things that have happened in my life in hopes to help inspire others to see and accept their truth.I now fuel my passions by helping those in need see a better tomorrow through my own foundation of Penny's Heart LLC.Founding Penny's Heart has been one of the most challenging yet validating things that I've done in my life. Helping those in need gives me the fuel that I need to keep pushing. It is also a way for me to honor my grandmothers legacy and to feel her presence with me daily.
