Andrea Hellman, Ed.D., is an English professor at Missouri State University, renowned for her contributions to the education of teachers working with multilingual students. Beyond academia, Andrea is an acclaimed studio artist, as well as a professional editor, writer, and illustrator. Her portfolio of children's books includes "Saving Noah: The Arctic Tale of a Brave Little Bear," "A New Home for Ava" (available in English and Spanish), and "Wings of a Color: The Diary of Amaya and Her Pet Chicken." Her book "Saving Noah" was honored as Runner-Up in the Children's Books category at the 2024 Los Angeles Book Festival.
