The main aim of this book is to present an analysis of the serial verb construction in Gojri, an Indo-Aryan language spoken in Jammu and Kashmir and in some parts of Pakistan and India. The nature of the work is comparative, descriptive as well as theoretical. On the basis of a careful analysis, this thesis reveals that the serial verb construction and complex predicates are two syntactically different forms and possess their own features and properties in Gojri. this work refutes the idea that Indo Aryan languages do not have serial verb formation.
