Autorenporträt
Born in a Mother/Baby Home in the Midlands of Ireland, Anne Biggs spent five years in a Dublin orphanage, before being brought to California by the Church. Her childhood spent in the fertile landscape of California's Central Valley. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from CSU Fresno and has taught for 25 years at the Secondary level, teaching English for 10 years from remedial to AP courses. She has written The Swan Garden to honor her birth-mother and the life she may have lived in both the Irish Mother/Baby Homes and the Magdalene Laundries. After extensive research, she wanted to let the world know the feelings of a woman who had to hide her entire life, for something she was blamed for, but was never her fault.
