Erik was the first child of two intellectually gifted, yet troubled parents. When his father left, Erik was left to fend for himself and his younger brother amidst chaos created by his chronically mentally ill mother. After years of abuse, Erik was taken into the custody of child protective services, who subsequently placed him in facilities for more than six years. He was released at the of 18, left to forge a life for himself with no skills and no support. After years of struggling to keep his head above water in a foreign world, Erik found purpose. He faced his fears, found his place in the world, gained knowledge and understanding of the world and family that had betrayed him. The Superhero in All of Us: Achieve Your Fullest Potential is that story of coming of age and a way to share the knowledge gained along the journey. More than a decade has passed since Erik aged out of the child welfare system. He has been blessed with many opportunities to work with those facing adversity, helping to overcome obstacles and see success. Erik currently devotes his time and passion for triumph through adversity as CEO and Founder of The Superhero in All of Us, LLC.
