David J. Goldberg OBE is Rabbi Emeritus of the Liberal Jewish Synagogue, London, and is well known for his interfaith dialogue and involvement in Israeli-Palestinian peace initiatives. He frequently appears in the media as a commentator on Jewish and Middle Eastern affairs, and is the author of a number of acclaimed books on Jews and Zionism, including The Jewish People (Viking, 1989).
