Produktbeschreibung
The Song Remains the Same is a companion volume to James Wilson's first collection of short prose poems and stories, All the Colours Fade. Taking their cues from imagery inspired by both music and lyrics, the pieces in both collections explore a personal palimpsest of influences, memories and dreams filtered through the prism of the seminal band the Stone Roses. In this second collection, Wilson puts forth some of his strongest work to date. It is mystical in places, personal in others, but also sprinkled with fables, politics, science, environmentalism, and some philosophical messages the author holds in the highest importance. Like its predecessor, this volume also contains the stark, Sebald-esque images that punctuate the written pieces, adding a transcendental layer to each beautiful composition.
