As a result of the marriage of convenience between the successive Nigerian governments and the oil giants, the Niger-Delta and its people are being ravaged without regards to their human dignity. These ridicules, controversies and contrivances are what the autor of this book investigated, examining them under the backdrop of Ethics. It is the hope of the author to add to the amount ofliterature that has studied the situation of the Niger-Delta people and their environment. The author wishes that Nigerian governments should rise up to their responsibilities of proctecting their people.

Dr. Polycarp Chibueze Nworie, Priester der Diözese Abakaliki, Nigeria ist ein promovierter Liturgiewissenschaftler. Nach seiner Promotion arbeitet er seit 2012 als Pfarradministrator im Bistum Basel. Dr. Ogbunanwata, Priester der Diözese Orlu, Nigeria ist ein promovierter Theologe und seit vielen Jahren als Pfarrer im Bistum Chur tätig.
