Born in February 1959, Sharon Powell obtained her bachelor's degree in liberal arts while working as a part-time research writer and novelist. Much of her work lies within the field of research. She is nonetheless able to capture the spirit intended through literary expression. Powell is also a poetic award winner, receiving Editor's Choice, Outstanding Achievement in Poetry, Poet of Merit, and The Best Poet of 2007 awards. Her work is featured throughout the United States and international literary sectors within acclaimed anthologies. The Shadow is her second novel.
