Michael Grant is one of the world's greatest writers on ancient history. He was formerly a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge, Professor of Humanities at the University of Edinburgh and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Khartoum and the Queen's University of Belfast. He has published over fifty books.
