This book examines the political events of Scotland under Charles II to provide the first detailed and accessible account of the Restoration Scottish parliament. Proceeding chronologically from 1660 to 1685, each parliamentary session is considered in turn, revealing the hitherto unexplored constitutional development of the late seventeenth-century Scottish parliament and placing the Scottish experience into the broader historical context.
