Autorenporträt
Elisabeth Madding and her husband Patrick struggled with infertility for many years, with several unsuccessful attempts at IVF and adoption. Through surrogacy, she and her husband were blessed with a beautiful daughter (Ayla) and a son (Oz). Elisabeth and Patrick refer to their surrogate as their "angel from the stars," and their children call her Auntie Cherine. It is Elisabeth's hope that this book will help to encourage and normalize surrogacy. Her goal is to help children and families understand the amazing gift of surrogacy and to create a more accepting world for her children, and for all children with exceptional birth stories. By destigmatizing the process, and creating awareness, she hopes to bring more families together through the sisterhood of surrogacy.
