Findings indicated that most ethnic minority groups in Uganda depend on traditional ancestral lands and they have a significant attachment for their survival. Most of them have been dispossessed of their land rights which make them unruly and violent in an effort to regain them. Conclusion was made and various recommendations were put forward.

Twinamatsiko Medard is a PhD Researcher at Development Research Institute-Tilburg University in Netherlands.He also teaches at the Faculty of Development studies Mbarara University of Science and Technology Uganda working with Land Governance Project MUST/Leiden as intern Researcher and Kampala International University. He is married to Sheila.
