Özgür Çavu¿ölu, who grew up in Izmir, received his BA degree in linguistics at Hacettepe University, taught English in military high schools as an instructor officer, did his MA study in translation studies at Böaziçi University, and now, at Istanbul University, he is writing a dissertation on discourse on translation in the Republic of Turkey.
