Autorenporträt
Christian Schluechter is Professor Emeritus for the Institute of Geological Science at the University of Bern. His research interest includes quaternary geology, glaciers, and ice ages. He previously served as the chair of Quaternary and Environmental Geology at the University of Bern. He has done extensive fieldwork in the Alps and on all the continents, including 8 expeditions to Antarctica.For many years, Christian has been actively engaged in the International Union for Quaternary Research (INQUA) for which he organised the International Congress in 2011 in Bern.
