Anais Nin (1903-1977) was a French-born American author of The Diary of Anais Nin (16 volumes), fiction (8 novels), short stories, erotica including the bestselling Delta of Venus, and critical works such as The Novel of the Future. Her works have been translated into scores of languages, and her diary Henry and June was made into a feature film of the same title, the first ever to be rated NC-17. Her life has been analyzed in two biographies and several documentaries.
